Cordillera Administrative Region– The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) urges the public to be more vigilant in giving donations to solicitors.

Allegedly, an individual claiming to be a DSWD personnel has been roaming around Teachers Village in Balacbac, Baguio City asking for donations to help disaster victims and for the conduct of tree planting activity.

The DSWD does not allow nor tolerate its personnel to conduct solicitation activities. Moreover, solicitors asking donations for purposes with social welfare and development in nature should be able to show solicitation permits released by either the Municipality/City Social Welfare and Development office or the Department of Social Welfare and Development together with their valid ID when conducting solicitation.
