BAGUIO CITY –The Regional Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office Cordillera is leaving his current position to head the National Project Management Office of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.

Director Leonardo C. Reynoso has recently been appointed as the National Program Manager of one of the DSWD’s major anti-poverty programs, the Conditional Cash Transfer.

Before moving to the central office of the Department, Director Reynoso was the head of DSWD-CAR for more than three years. He introduced different innovations in the Field Office CAR that helped gain its reputation as one of the highly performing regional offices of the agency nationwide.

Under the leadership of Director Reynoso, the Civil Service Commission awarded the Seal of Excellence to DSWD-CAR on Anti Red Tape Act implementation. He was also honored as the 2013 National Best Manager of the agency last January this year.

The new National Program Manager of Pantawid Pamilya is leaving the regional office with a national performance rating of 6.723, one of the highest in the Department.

Due to the departure of Director Reynoso from DSWD-CAR, the DSWD Central Office, represented by DSWD Assistant Secretary Camilo G. Gudmalin, has recently installed DSWD-CAR’s new Officer-in-Charge Regional Director, Janet P. Armas and Officer-in-Charge Assistant Regional Director for Operations, Ms. Edna S. Benitez, and Assistant Regional Director for Administration, Francis A. Khayad, in a recent turnover ceremony.

The new OIC-Assistant Regional Director for Operation Ms. Edna S. Benitez was the DSWD’s 2013 National Best Center Head.
