Cordillera Administrative Region- The Department of Social Welfare and Development has provided 144 family packs and 48 blankets with an estimated worth of P60,000 to 48 families in the municipality of Tublay in Benguet Province.

 According to Regional Director Leonardo C. Reynoso, Tublay is the first municipality to request for and receive the said augmentation.

 The municipality has listed 48 families who have been transferred from their residence in Sitio Mamuyod in Brgy. Ambassador to the evacuation center in Pontino Elementary School in Brgy. Poblacion. These families were evacuated to prevent damage due to the sinking of the area.

 Meanwhile, the Field Office has increased the number of family packs which are ready for distribution. From a minimum of 1,000 packs, there are around 5,000 prepositioned family packs for the region, including that of the Benguet Province. Aside from these, there are still 1,500 packs prepositioned in each province including Kalinga, Apayao, Abra, and Mt. Province that would cater to the needs of those in these provinces. An amount of P 3,367,215 is also available for the quick response for other emergency needs.

 The DSWD Quick Action Response Teams (QUARTs) have also been on duty since this Sunday (11 August 2013) to monitor the effects of Typhoon Labuyo and to provide assistance to the public.
