The National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR) of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)will be conducting the second round of household assessment by 4th quarter of this year. In this round, it is expected that by November 2013, at least 260,000 households have been assessed in the region.
NHTS-PR Regional Field Coordinator Lilia Rose Say-awen said that the second round of assessment will be done to further update the list of poor households identified in 2011.
It can be noted that in 2012, the Cordillera Regional Development Council (RDC) approved a resolution which advocates to all government and non-government units the use of NHTS-PR data as common reference in identifying beneficiaries of poverty reduction programs.
Say-awen also said that because of this, the department will need additional 886 staff to conduct the second round of assessment region wide.
The positions that are to be filled out include 22 area coordinators, 108 area supervisors, 540 enumerators, 108 encoders, and 108 verifiers.
Area coordinators, area supervisors and enumerators will be deployed in Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Ifugao, Benguet, Baguio City and Mt. Province. However, encoders and verifiers will be based at the DSWD-Regional Office.
Individuals who have proficient communication skills, have experience in conflict resolution and community work and are willing to do field work are encouraged to apply.
Interested applicants may submit their application to the Human Resource and Development Office at DSWD-CAR, #40 North Drive, Baguio City (beside NBI-CAR) or to the Social Welfare and Development (SWAD) Team Offices in their respective provinces on or before 26 July 2016.
