Job Description:
The Project Development Officer II, in coordination with the Social Marketing Unit, is in charge in the implementation and monitoring of the Regional Communication Plan and conducting regional advocacy events and activities such as coordination with media for guesting, interviews, tours and press conference; preparation of information materials; and development of IEC materials. The Project Development Officer II documents impact of the program which are not limited to success stories, concerns and suggestions of beneficiaries and stakeholders. The Information Officer shall also accomplish other additional tasks lodged under the Social Marketing Unit and the SLP RPMO.
Functions and Responsibilities:
• Co-develop and operationalize the SLP communication plan for regional internal and external stakeholders through a work plan;
• Substantially contribute to, coordinate, and localize the production of information, education communication (IEC) materials, such as video presentations, brochures, booklets, posters, etc., within appropriate medium and target audience;
• Coordinate with the SLP RPMO to ensure cohesive and consistent messaging within the department;
• Prepare and coordinate budget and funding project (project planning, implementation and post-implementation, including progress reports) for social marketing activities;
• Establish the SLP brand identity with key stakeholders, especially program participants and their livelihood projects;
• Liaise with various (artistic and technical) service providers for radio and television features and guesting, video news releases and publication in print media, n coordination with the SLP RPMO;
• Establish SLP online presence through the DSWD and SLP websites, and social media;
• Produce and publish feature articles and press releases from field visits and activities;
• Organize advocacy activities and events for SLP as supported by the DSWD FO SMU and SLP RPMO;
• Orient internal and external stakeholders on SLP whenever necessary;
• Conduct field visits to monitor current content accuracy and availability of IEC materials;
• Conduct case studies through field visits and field activity reports;
• Documents, manage, and share information on key livelihood models developed by field implementers for reciprocation and localization, in coordination with other SLP-RPMO staff;
• Provide technical assistance stakeholders and intermediaries;
• Prepare periodic reports;
• Accomplish performance commitment and appraisal; and
• Completes other designated tasks as necessary.
