The agreement was signed on 29 April 2024 between DSWD FO CAR Regional Director Maira C. Aplaten, PhD and SEC BAGEO Director Atty. Regina May Cajucom-de Guzman.
“This partnership is a step further in our commitment to empower our beneficiaries thus, we gratefully accept this collaboration with the SEC. Under the MOA, the DSWD and the SEC will conduct joint programs and interventions that will capacitate DSWD beneficiaries in understanding financial principles and practices, as well as prevent them from being victims of investment fraud and scams. The partnership also aims to facilitate the SEC registration of 4Ps and SLP associations to help legitimize and upscale their operations.
