The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), through its Kapit-Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan – Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (KALAHI-CIDSS), is set to provide temporary employment opportunities to 370 students and graduates of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) and Apayao State College (ASC).
Under the KALAHI-CIDSS Cash-for-Work Program (CFWP), beneficiaries will render 25 days of work in designated offices and agencies and will receive a daily wage of ₱505.00, an increase from the previous ₱470.00 rate. The initiative aims to assist students and graduates in earning additional income while gaining valuable work experience.
Interested applicants must submit an application letter addressed to Dr. John N. Cabansag, University President, through Kenneth M. Amangao, Alumni President and CFWP Focal, for ASC applicants, and to University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue through the Alumni Relations and Job Placement Coordinator Dr. Glen C. Gayagay for MPSU applicants. They must also attach a copy of their diploma (for graduates) or certificate of enrollment (for students), certificate of indigency, photocopy of a valid ID, and two (2) pieces of 2×2 ID photos. Only one applicant per household will be accommodated. Applicants are advised to submit their complete requirements to their respective universities until 6 March 2026.
In 2025, a total of 558 beneficiaries from Benguet State University, Ifugao State University, and Kalinga State University were provided opportunities under the Program. While the number of slots this year is limited, the CFWP continues to extend support to deserving students and graduates across the region.
The Cash-for-Work Program provides temporary employment to qualified individuals while engaging them in meaningful community and office-based assignments. Beyond financial assistance, the Program enables participants to develop practical skills, strengthen work discipline, and build confidence as they prepare for long-term employment opportunities. #DSWD-CAR, SOCIAL MARKETING UNIT, Yvonne Gracious T.
