Four months on, now that the hype has settled down during his stint as one of the players and ultimate winners in the television game show Family Feud, 2025 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Apayao Exemplary Child Eusebio G. Sacupaso III—fondly known as “Thirdy” to friends and family—has learned how to value money, creating a sustainable source of income to augment in their family’s daily expenses.

After winning the grand prize in November 2025, Thirdy and his mom Karen saw to it that their winnings did not go to waste. In their hometown in Flora, Apayao, they used the money to rent a small farm where they cultivate rice crops and tend livestock such as chicken and pigs to this day.

As active participants in the regular Family Development Sessions (FDS), which taught them how to become financially knowledgeable and independent, his mom Karen expressed her gratefulness to the program for its support in helping individuals and families like them understand economic aspects.

“It is really a big help for our family,” said Mrs. Sacupaso, who did not mind the 14-hour travel from Flora, Apayao all the way to Metro Manila and back to support their son during the game show. “As much as we did not expect nor even dreamed of Thirdy being able to play and win in the Family Feud, we knew we had to do our best to bring home pride to our community.”

Mrs. Sacupaso shared that with the prize money, they were also able to provide Thirdy a tablet for their online classes, especially now that he is excelling with high honors in their Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) strand classes. She said that “we will strive to flourish the winnings so that even as we will eventually exit the 4Ps, we can make do with these investments.”

For his part, 13-year old Thirdy hopes to inspire fellow 4Ps children and their families to fulfill their purpose for a brighter future. “As a 4Ps young leader, I will help promote and protect the rights of children by providing knowledge and support on their rights,” he said.

As a 4Ps Exemplary Child, he was one of the six delegates from the Cordillera Administrative Region who joined other 4Ps exemplary children nationwide during the 4Ps National Children’s Congress in Metro Manila in November 2025, where they shared their story of dedication and triumph to their peers and the public.

According to Thirdy, despite the hardships in life, he is hopeful that with the additional support to his schooling needs and the program grants that he is currently receiving, he is eager to finish his studies and turn into reality not only his dreams but his family’s as well.

With his journey, Thirdy continues to bring pride not only for his achievements but also for embodying the values of discipline, leadership, and gratitude nurtured through the 4Ps, highlighting the program’s role in shaping the next generation of leaders and changemakers.// Christian Robert M.
