Baguio City – The Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office Cordillera Administrative Region (DSWD FO CAR) warned its beneficiaries and the public on the unauthorized use of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in election-related activities especially for the 2025 National and Local Elections.
DSWD FO CAR Regional Director Maria A. Catbagan-Aplaten said that the Department has started to implement several activities to safeguard its social protection programs and services including the 4Ps from politicking and partisan individuals.
“The DSWD will continue to educate its 4Ps beneficiaries through the implementation of mandatory topics on voters’ education, electoral process, and combating election fake news during their monthly FDS. The topics aim to empower the beneficiaries to choose wisely and vote for the rightful leaders. This will also ensure that the programs and services of the Department are free from electioneering activities,” Director Aplaten said.
4Ps Regional Program Coordinator and Division Chief Fatima D. Florendo emphasized that adding and delisting of household beneficiaries is solely done by the DSWD through its grievance redress system and not by any politician.
“Nobody has the right to delist a beneficiary from the Program. We have been emphasizing this every election period. So, we again enjoin our beneficiaries and the public to report any observations that involves the use of the 4Ps and other DSWD programs and services in any election-related activities,” Florendo said.
Florendo furthered that the selection of program beneficiaries is based on the Department’s Listahanan assessed through a uniform and objective process, and sets of criteria by the Program. She also underscored that the Program is not related to any party list or does not endorse any party list and politician as being circulated in the social media.
The public may directly report their complaints through the program’s grievance hotline at 0918-912-2813 with the following text format DSWD <space>4Ps<space>Name<space>Address <space> Message/Complaints.
