With the upcoming nationwide second round of family assessment, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)’s Listahanan, also known National Household Targeting System for Poverty Reduction (NHTS-PR), will conduct provincial trainings for 509 hired enumerators.

The enumerators will assess the families using the Family Assessment Form (FAF) which will then be run through the Proxy Means Test (PMT) to determine if the families are poor or non-poor.

Schedules and places of training per province in the Cordillera Administrative Region are as follows:

Mountain Province – 20-24 April 2015, Bontoc, Mt. Province
Kalinga – 20-24 April 2015, Tabuk City, Kalinga

Apayao – 26-30 April 2015, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan

Benguet – 26-30 April 2015, Baguio City

Ifugao – 4-8 May 2015, Solano, Nueva Viscaya

Abara – 4-8 May 2015, Caoayan, Ilocos Sur

Family assessment in the provinces will start after the said trainings. With this, DSWD-CAR Regional Director Janet P. Armas enjoins the family respondents to give accurate answers during the assessment.

“By encouraging the public to participate and provide feedback on the second assessment, we will guarantee that the information which will be generated from the assessment will be of highest integrity,” Armas said. # DSWD, Social Marketing Unit, Kaye Ann O. Mapalo
